Hi!

My name is Asia. I am so excited to meet you!

My fitness journey has taken on many shapes and perspectives.

Having been a colleGIATE athlete who experienced athletic career ending injuries my focus outside of performance training began with injury rehabilitation. These EXPERIENCES inspired a desire to work with bodies in motion in a plethora of ways. I have formal training in functional anatomy and kinesiology with a specialization in injury rehabilitation and high-performance training.

My graduate Work focused on the physical and social experiences of high-performance athletes and how they experience injury. The integration of my academic and professional work has uniquely shaped my approach to fitness as holistically specific.

My Passion is to create Greater Fitness RESOURCES FOR my broader Community.

I currently teach a broad range of fitness specializations including indoor cycling (athletic, interval, HIIT and power rides), HIIT Training, weight training, piLATES, functional movement training, endurance training, and body specific training. I have over eight years of EXPERIENCE working as a fitness professional, ranging from personal performance and general personal training, group fitness training and movement analysis.

As a bilingual, queer woman of color, I know that formal fitness spaces are often hostile environments for individuals. In noticing a fissure between my personal communities and work community I saw that it was not due to a lack of desire for fitness or personal movement training, but due to a lack of safe inclusivity for all bodies to be in Athletic spaces together. My desire is to offer spaces where people feel inspired, encouraged and appropriately challenged through receiving the dedicated and individualized attention to movement that every body deserves.
